THE CRAGHOPPERS FILM PRIZE 2020
The Craghoppers Film Prize, which is awarded as part of The Discover Film Awards, celebrates the very best talent of student and established short filmmakers from around the world. It includes two student prizes of £1,000 each. One will go to the Best UK Student and one will go to the Best International student.
Sadly this year due to Covid 19 our March and October festivals were postponed however our two student winners were selected and will be awarded their prizes.
Looking ahead the ultimate Craghoppers Film Prize will be up for grabs at the March 2021 Discover Film Awards in London and entries will be shortlisted from all award entrants from the March 20 and October 20 entries no matter what genre.
The first prize is £20,000 in cash with a second prize of £5,000 in cash and, once again next year an additional award of £5,000 for the Best Social Impact film.

The exciting Discover Film Awards that was due to take place in London in March and October 2020 will now be rescheduled to March 2021
The Craghoppers Film Prize forms the stage for recognising the incredible emerging talent within the short film community.
It encourages the next generation of filmmakers to create thrilling new content for emerging digital platforms - from Netflix to Amazon, music videos to new forms of corporate branded content. This is a generation vital to the future of the global digital economy.
Craghoppers, working alongside Discover.film, aim to identify leaders in short filmmaking. And then reward them with major investment and prize money. Supporting the arts is an important strategic decision for the brand.
This bold new initiative will grow year on year, making the Craghoppers Film Prize one of the most coveted accolades within the international film community - associating the Craghoppers name with quality, innovation and creativity.
In addition Craghoppers will be supporting UK students currently studying filmmaking in selected colleges and Universities and will be seeking out future Ambassadors for the brand.
