We are delighted to be working with The Duke of Edinburgh Award for another 3 years as The DofE Recommended Expedition Clothing Partner.
For our latest campaign, we’ve partnered with a local school, Manchester Academy, to support 40 pupils who aim to complete their Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award.
10 pupils from the school feature in our nationwide marketing campaign, testing out the latest waterproofs, trousers and tops from our DofE Expedition Clothing Range.
Ryan Gemmell, the Director of Climate and Behaviour at Manchester Academy said:
We are really pleased that a local business has taken an interest in our group- the kids have been hugely motivated by this. We have been inundated with applications for this year’s DofE from students in years 9 and 10 and now have more pupils on the waiting list.
We asked the pupils what they thought of the
photo shoot and how it's inspired them:
I loved the photo shoot, it was fun even though I thought I would never do anything like this. It built my confidence and it makes me want to more experiences like this. I am looking forward to doing the Duke of Edinburgh award and making friends. - Leticia
I had a lot of fun on the trip and have gained a lot of confidence in myself. I am looking forward to starting my DofE experience to learn more about nature. - Robyn
I really enjoyed the DofE shoot and what we did and would like to do something like that again. It built my confidence and encouraged me, it was a really fun experience for me. I can’t wait to do my bronze award and to boost my confidence more and get out with my friends. - Kyle
